Lesson 8: (Japanese Alphabet Chart Expanded)
Before we continue, it should be noted that though the Japanese Alphabet
Chart shows the Root characters of the alphabet, it does not show ALL of the
characters.
Some characters have a harder
sound or just a different sound, and are derived from Root characters. For example, the soft sounding “ka” gives rise to the harder sounding “ga”.
Below is a list of additional characters shown along the same row as the
characters they are derived from. Please take a moment to learn
these Derived characters as well.
